Hello Friends!

Thanks to everyone that made it out to our shows last week! Especially those that came to cheer us on at the Bon Jovi "Have a Nice Gig" Contest.  Unfortunately, we didn't get the nod to open up for Mr. Jovi in Pittsburgh. However, our good friends in Charlz Newman did! We are SUPER excited they were the finalists!

We have a great week of Rock and Roll coming up for you! Bryan will be at NDSU this Wednesday solo acoustic. On Thursday, Paul and Bryan will be at Major's in Golden Valley acoustically. Major's is quickly becoming one of our favorite acoustic venues!  There's ALWAYS a great crowd!

On Friday, the full band will be back in Mankato at Busters playing with our good friends, Dazy Head Mazy! We're back to the metro on Saturday at one of our favorite suburban hangout's, The Boathouse in Waconia!!

Hello Friends!

We had a fantastic couple dates at Grampa Al's and Bayside last Friday and Saturday! Thanks to everyone that came out to those shows! It was great to see so many familiar faces!!

Bryan and Paul are back at Majors in Golden Valley this Thursday, August 17th. Please stop by if you're in the area...even if your NOT in the area! It's always a fun time at Majors!

Concentual will be on a little break this weekend but we're back in action next Monday at NDSU in Fargo at Freshman Orientation! We will be closing out the week in the south suburbs at a couple of out favorite venues, Primetime in Burnsville on Thursday the 24th and Bogarts in Apple Valley with G.B. Leighton on Friday the 25th!

Hello Friends!

We have a great week of shows ahead of us!

First off, we'll be playing this Wednesday, September 13th at Doc's Landing in White Bear Lake from 9:00 to close. This is our first time at Doc's and we're definitely looking forward to it. Then, on Friday the 15th, we're back at one of our favorite suburban hangouts, Decoy's in Hopkins.  Last time we were at Decoy's it was a packed house and we're hopeful it will be the same this time around!

On Saturday, September 16th, we're back in Mankato again for the Bar-Muda Triangle Block Party! This is going to be FUN!! It's hosted by T.J. Finnegan's and there will be 3 bands: 3 in a Tree, The Tony Flynn Project and Concentual. We will be headlining the night and starting at around 9:00.

Now, the gig we're REALLY looking forward to... This Sunday, September 17th we will be sharing the stage with national recording artist, Sawyer Brown!! The event is at the Coon Rapids High School and will be raising money and awareness for the North Suburban Youth Sports Organization.  There will be two separate shows, one starting at 3:30pm and the second at 7:00pm.  Concentual will open for Sawyer Brown both times.  Thus far, over 4,800 tickets have been sold for this event! Hello Friends!

Wow! What a great week of shows we had last week! We had a great time our first time out at Doc's Landing last Wednesday!  Thanks to everyone who made it out to Decoy's last Friday. The Bar-Muda Block Party & Street Dance in Mankato was completely off the hook! Last, but definitely not least, the Sawyer Brown show was amazing. For example, we auctioned an electric guitar autographed by the band for charity! It sold for $175. Sawyer Brown's sold for $200. You'll definitely want to check out our BLOG for more on these shows.

Now that we have that excellent string of shows behind us...what's next, you ask??

We will be back at O'Gara's Garage this Saturday night with Tim Mahoney. Brian David is opening up the show and celebrating the release of his solo EP. Plus, it's always a good time at a Tim Mahoney show and we have the good fortune to share the stage with Tim a few times this month!

Then...We are back at the Metrodome on Sunday morning for the Minnesota Vikings Pre-Game! We must be doing something right because this year we finally got...promoted. We get to play in the balmy September weather rather than playing in gloves and stocking caps in the chill of December. We are DEFINITELY looking forward to it!

We wanted to give you a quick update of some of our upcoming shows. First of all, we are back at Primetime in Burnsville this Thursday, October 19th from 9:30 until close. Then, on Friday, October 20th we are playing one of our favorite shows of the year...Trail of Terror! We have played Trail of Terror several times and it is ALWAYS a great time! We start at around 9:00pm and play until midnight or so.

One more show to definitely mark in your calendars is our newest addition to the calendar, Halloween NIGHT (Tuesday, October 31st) at Champp's in Eden Prairie! This show has the makings of a great party! Costumes are recommended and there will be a costume contest where the grand prize winner will take home $500 cash!

Thanks to everyone who came out in costume on Tuesday night to our Halloween show at Champp's in Eden Prairie. It was a great time!

This week we will be playing at one of our favorite out-state clubs, Grampa Al's in Faribault on Thursday, November 2nd at 9:30pm. Jim and his staff and home town crowd at Al's always make for a great time!

On Friday, November 3rd, we will be back on Lake Minnetonka at Bayside. There is no real way to explain the crowd at Bayside so you HAVE to stop by and see how much fun this club is!

Last weekend was TONS of fun at both Grampa Al's and Bayside! We only have one great show for you this weekend. We will be in one of our favorite suburban hangouts on Saturday, November 11th. Hello Friends!

Thanks to everyone that braved the storm and made our New Year's Eve show one of the best shows of the year. 2006 was an excellent year for Concentual and we have a ton of fun memories. From Summerfest to Rochesterfest to Mankato Block Party...from "Have a Nice Gig" to playing the Vikes Plaza Party to our New Year's Eve show. We were on both TV and Radio this year. We were just shy of 100 shows this year, which is quite an accomplishment for any band.  We also put our albums and EP's in the hands of almost 10,000 people! We appreciate everyone that helped us make 2006 a great year! From the fans to the clubs, thank you for making this a great year for Concentual! We are definitely looking forward to an even better 2007!

Hello Friends!

We have some Concentual news for you all.  Well, as some of you may know already, Bryan Thuney has decided to leave Concentual and move on to different endeavors.  Bryan has been part of the band since its inception in late 1999 when he and Paul started this little venture.  From the coffee houses of the early acoustic days to present, there have been some amazing memories we will all share.  There are no ill feelings between any of us and we wish him well for the future.  It was simply just time for him to move on.

For those of you who are interested in checking out Bryan’s last couple shows, please join us at Bayside on April 20^th or Bryan’s farewell show at Mainstreet Bar and Grille in Hopkins on April 27^th.

It’s sad to see him go…but as we all know, the show must go on!

The question that we are sure everyone would like to have answered is; What is Concentual going to do now?!  The answer is...Concentual will most definitely be moving forward!   Paul Haga, Steve Moerke, and Brian Henz have overwhelmingly decided to continue on!  We truly appreciate all of the support over the years and that has played very heavily in our decision to press forward.  This is a VERY exciting time for us!  All we are prepared to say for now is that we do have the position filled and the necessary infrastructure in place to emerge better than ever!

We will keep you posted with updates about future shows and who our new member will be…

Hello Friends!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to Bayside last weekend!  We had a great time playing and it was awesome seeing all of you that came out to the show!  We wanted to let you know that tonight, April 27th, we will be making yet another return to Mainstreet Bar, our NEW favorite place to play in Hopkins! 

Music starts at 9:00pm and our good friends Todd Epley and Casey Smith will be opening the show from 9:00 to 10:00.  We will be taking the stage around 10:15.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the show!  This will be a party you won't want to miss!

We had a ton of fun playing with Nathan Anderson, Stereoscope and Sunshine Behavior at our Fine Line show last Thursday. Our outdoor show at Floyd's was off the hook as usual! We always have a touch time keeping the decibels under control...but managed to still rock the patio at Floyd's!

We will be playing Rookie's in Rochester for the first time this coming Friday night. If you're a fan in the Rochester/Austin area, please come check us out this Friday.

On Saturday, we will be back at our new favorite Hopkins club, Mainstreet. It's always a good time at Mainstreet. Come down early for a burger and a beer. We take the stage at 9:30pm

For those of you who didn't know, the Boathouse in Waconia has been sold to a new land deveolper that will be redesigning both the Boathouse and Nancy's landing into a premium lake front restaurant. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they will have live music!

We will be playing a couple of our favorite clubs this weekend...Mainstreet in Hopkins this Friday night and Bayside in Excelsior on Saturday.

Hello Friends!

We have had a week to recoop and learn a few new tunes for your listening enjoyment. We will be debuting at Serums in Anoka this Thursday, September 27th. We can't wait!

We will be making the short trek to Torge's in Austin on Friday night, September 28th. There is NEVER a dull moment at Torge's.

Last but certainly not least...we will be helping to raise money and awareness for Second Chance Animal Rescue on Saturday, September 29th. This is an afternoon event at O'Gara's and we will be joined by Tim Mahoney in providing music for the event.  Please stop by and help this worthy cause.
